Patrick Air Force Base Enhanced Use Lease - Ramey Project

The Department of the Air Force is considering the leasing of real estate on the former Ramey Solar Observatory Research Site (“RSO”), located in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, under a long-term ground lease to a third-party entity for development for a period of up to 50 years.  The RSO site includes up to 75 acres of non-excess land available for development under a long-term ground lease.  The site is located approximately 1 mile northeast of the former Ramey AFB, now Rafael Hernandez Airport, on Highway PR-110, Km. 7.4, at the Montaña Ward, Aguadilla.  The site has ocean views but does not have direct beach-front access.  The parcel is primarily vacant land with the exception of some unused facilities which may be demolished to facilitate development.
