BRAC
As part of BRAC 2005, the DoD is transferring jobs and missions from installations in New Mexico, and other locations into Kirtland AFB. As a result, Kirtland AFB will have an increase in military and civilian personnel. Key actions include:
- Receiving three F-16s from Cannon AFB, NM
- Realigning Air Force Research Laboratory currently in Hanscom, MA to Kirtland AFB
