2.  Building Codes and Standards

Sedgwick County Code Enforcement represents building permitting and inspections, zoning and nuisance inspections, floodplain permitting and determination, and waste water (septic/lagoon) permitting and inspections for Sedgwick County.  The Department issues building permits in the unincorporated areas of the county; licenses trade’s people; reviews building plans; inspects new construction for compliance with building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical codes; and furnishes zoning and subdivision information to citizens, realtors, appraisers and contractors.
